Now an excerpt from the Role play:

======
Tony had to drive himself home. But after six cups of coffee in the last hour, he felt like doing a little more than just cruising his way on home. He got up and looked out at his Audi Spyder that sat proudly in the parking lot, the night sky as dark as it will ever be. It was now early friday morning..which in the minds of gear heads like he was, meant late thursday night. A tradition in Malibu amongst the car enthusiasts..meant races. He checked his watch again, the night was still very young for the group he has neglected for a long while. Back in the sixties, when he was just a teen. When he had gotten his '67 Shelby. But over the years Jarvis had reminded him of the gatherings on the abandoned roads of Malibu. But Tony was still too busy running the company, and would have loved to get back out there to see some old friends. Now he had that chance, and he wouldn't be passing that up now. He was wide awake, and sitting at home now wasn't an option.
As he drove towards the meeting place he noticed that it had passed by Pepper's place. He got caught at the red-light that was just below her apartment building. He remembered that no more than a couple weeks ago he was there begging for her forgiveness. Those memories were behind him. But he sat at the red-light that seemed longer than an eternity when he heard the rumble of an American muscle car roll up next to him at the light. Idling next to Tony he just kept his eyes straight in front of him. Then he felt a pair of eyes staring him down. His windows were rolled down, letting the stare bee right on him. Looking over he saw a young guy behind the wheel of a Dodge charger, completely refurbished and looking new. Then two others pulled up, the empty four lane street soon filled with rumbling American engines, while Tony's purred silently. he looked to both sides of him, one car on his left, and the other two revved at his right. How many people can say that they had the chance to race the Tony Stark. A grin crept across Tony's face and he shifted the car in neutral, holding a foot on the break and revving his engine as he sat there waiting for the light to change. Putting the American muscle up to the test. Even if Tony loved the sound of a rumbling engine. He shifted back into drive and just as soon as the light turned green the night filled with the roar of engines and the screech of tires spinning for traction. Even on such a big street that was clogged during the day, police never patrolled around here. And there wasn't much they could do, b the time any cop had caught up with the racers they were already on private property where the owner allowed such antics. An old race track, owned by someone who was just as enthusiastic about racing as the next guy driving a classic. The stadium around the track had been taken down, so all that was left was a parking lot and a track.
Tony took the lead of the pack and the boys behind him tried to catch up, some succeeding until Tony threw a curveball and was back in the front. The street was alive with an impromptu dance of steel and rubber. He hadn't felt a rush like this in at least fifteen years. It was an addiction then…and now it had come back.
Tony and the boys he raced had pulled into the parking lot, where owners all gathered, some cars rolled their way onto the track to test what they got under the hood. All eyes locked on the R8 Spyder that pulled up, the air smelling of gasoline and burnt rubber. When Tony got out he was spotted by a few friends that he had met years ago instantly. They obviously paid more attention to him than he did on them. There were cars like his, imports mostly with body kits on them. Along with a few trucks. All in their own cliques. Like Tony had done before he popped the hood, after being begged to let people peak under it. He looked back up and saw Pepper's apartment building in the distance. He would hear it from her if she saw this happening at close to two a.m.
"Tony, man where have you been! We haven't seen you in..god what like a hundred years?" His friend Mike joked and put an arm around him. Mike had been a few years older than Tony, but his passion rested with the cars he drove, he ended up owning a few of his own shops by the time he was out of college.
"It's been a while yeah" He said leaning against his car while Mike propped a hand on the side of the R8 next to Tony. "Figured I'd stop in and see what the damage is.." He said and saw all the classic cars, though the cars he remembered seemed to have gone extinct. Like his Shelby that sat in the garage at home. "Hasn't changed much since my Shelby years" He said and chuckled.
"Anthony Stark.." The voice made Tony's skin catch fire.
"Justin Hammer. What in the hell are you doing here? I didn't know you had a life" Tony said, his tone laced with venom. The blond haired rival in his grey suit never failed to show up when he was having a good time. Except for one length of time; On the boat journey from New York back home. But now Tony knew that Justin had a new bone to pick with him about his latest claim to fame, aiding in the rescues of 9/11.
Justin chuckled and shook his head wagging his finger at him. "Au contraire. I do have a pretty good social life" He said and stopped just in front of him and looked under the hood of the Audi. "Oh, jeeze. I never thought I would get so close to the Icon's icon."
"You touch anything I'll break your finger" He growled. Tony still had business to settle with Hammer after what he had done to Pepper. Rather, what he arranged to happen to her because of the rivalry between the two. Mike tried to hold him back from putting his hands on Hammer but by the time he reached out for him Tony was already between Hammer and the car poking a finger in his chest. "You're lucky I don't break your neck" He growled only for Hammer to hear.
A group had gathered hearing the commotion and some began jeering them on. Tony backed off and folded his arms over his chest. The white dress shirt sleeves were rolled up past his elbows to the middle of his biceps. The fabric strained at the flexing muscles in his arms. Race him! Come on we need a good show! was the majority of the jeers behind Tony and the R8.
"What do you got Hammer? Other than a bone to pick with me? You think you can beat me?" He asked his voice like velvet but as sharp as a blade.
"It's crossed my mind. I came close with that little sm*t didn't I?" He asked with a grin and Tony's hand shot up behind him and he slammed his hood down with incredible force the hydraulic hinges moaned at such a force.
"Get in that Piece of Sh*t, Hammer." Tony spat, "Show me what you got" he sneered and Hammer marched right back to his Nissan 350z and the race was on.
